Copenhagen city offers a range of Scandinavian-styled dishes and other regional cuisines based majorly on fish like eel, cod, salmon and herring and other meaty products.  Roasted chicken and pork are more often found in many restaurants as compared to beef. Most dishes contain ground pork as a major ingredient. The Danish bacon is a common breakfast option in Copenhagen.  Many foods in Copenhagen are either pickled or smoked due to the long summer periods.
